How can kids learn to speak Farsi at home?

Children ages 4–8 can practice speaking Farsi at home by listening to a familiar question, trying an answer and using it again with family. Farsi Kids offers 30 short lessons with everyday stories and family voices. Try a five-minute daily routine together, then bring the same words to dinner or a call with Grandma.

What can five minutes of speaking practice look like?

Sit together, choose a familiar lesson and listen to the question. Pause so your child can try an answer. Help with the first words when needed, then listen again. Later, ask the same question at dinner or on a family call. Five minutes is a suggested routine, not a promise of fluency.

Where does Farsi Kids help?

The app gives families pictures, questions and model answers in everyday settings such as Grandma’s kitchen, bedtime, Nowruz and Yalda. Family recordings can replace bundled clips where available. An adult can read aloud if a clip is missing.

What if my child understands but answers in English?

Start with something your child has a reason to say, such as their name or a greeting. Offer a model, leave room for an answer and return to the words in a familiar conversation. Keep practice a shared activity.
